Meet the Midwife Meet the Midwife
Sue Stannard Sue Stannard
Qualified Midwife & Antenatal Teacher
Hi, I am Sue, married to my extremely supportive husband Dave, have two lovely girls Charlotte and Natalie and am going to be a grandparent for the first time next year!
My passion has always been midwifery, however I got married at 19, so waited until the girls were older and studied at Surrey University. My dissertation was based on post natal depression.
I have been a qualified midwife for seven years working for a local trust where I spent three years in the hospital on delivery suite, antenatal ward and postnatal ward. I have now been a community midwife in Horsham for the last four years. My practice is evidence based using both local and national guidelines.
I am the practice midwife at a local doctors surgery, and love the empowerment and support that I can give at such a special time in a couple’s life. As my dissertation was based on post natal depression I have an interest in emotional well being and believe that this is important for both mum and dad.
The Pregnancy Coaching Company classes are open to all, whether first time mum’s or you have had a baby before, and are an ideal way to meet other couples and make friends for life.
I hope you will find my classes both informative and fun, and look forward to meeting you soon.
